River Road Trail Signs

River Road Heritage Parkway is a 13-km stretch of road north of Winnipeg that includes several national and provincial historic sites. It makes a lovely drive or bike ride. The nine sites are linked through a series of storybook panels at each site that tell the story of a Métis family on a journey to the Stone Fort in 1845 – a time of change. Each site has its own interpretive signs to tell visitors about that site as well.

Gold Award of Excellence, Interpretation Canada, 2007

Great presentation of imagery, interpretation and information that bring the landscape to life through time… The interpretation, and opportunities provided for visitors to make personal connections were exceptional in this submission.
