An eco-education site was developed on the greenway to be a focal point for local schools and members of the community, so they could observe and experience nature first hand within the urban setting.

The sign content is designed to introduce the community to the site and its purpose. It also provides some activities and information on species they can find in each of the three habitats there.

The sign includes an interactive component – sliding pieces that provide graphic questions and answers on the three habitats. The sign is illustrated with drawings of species mentioned in the text so students and the community can learn to recognize a half dozen species in this urban setting.
