Centre d’interprétation Saint-Léon Interpretive Centre – Concept Plan

Planning

St Leon Interpretive Centre

A comprehensive concept plan was created for an existing building. The project included facilitating a design workshop with board, staff and experts in a variety of fields. The plan included developing exhibits for four galleries – wind power, birding, salamanders and living green. We developed plans for an orientation theatre that would work well for school groups, a reception area and gift shop and exterior exhibits.

Centre theme: The salamanders and birds of St. Léon are just two reasons we should reduce our ecological footprint and embrace ‘living green’, such as clean green power through wind generation.

With a floor plan and preliminary text for the panels, the community chose to build the centre without further professional help.

Location: St. Léon, Manitoba
